Ambassador George Festus Blamoh has officially launched a book titled; The Silent Cry of A Fatherless Generation.
The Book highlighting the painful and Silent Fatherless life of the author also stresses the important role of the father in the home and Nation in general.
Speaking during the launching of the book, one of the mentors of the author, Bishop James K. Jarbah said parents and children in general need mentors to help guide them in order to help them realize their potential.
Explaining briefly about the life of the author, Ambassador Blamoh, emphasized that Blamoh over the years shown so much determination to move forward even during his difficult period.
” No one should judge anyone from their humble beginning”, he told the gathering.
Also speaking at the launching ceremony was one of the mentees of Amb. Blamoh, Dr. Charles Gbollie who hailed Amb. Blamoh for his impactful role played in his life.
“Amb. Blamoh is a father Figure and his mentorship over the years has made me who I am today”, he added.
Liberia, Dr. Gbollie indicated needs effective mentorship programs and individuals to help guide the next generation of future leaders.
Well, providing few excerpts of the book, Author Blamoh narrated that the book among other things look at the role of the father in the home with emphasis on establishing positive authority which will serve as an example for the children to follow.
“My father was passive, my mother took leadership in the home and she was the first person that recognized my self-esteem”, he told the gathering.
According to him, he stated that Liberia and Africa is bleeding due to the lack of Fatherless Figure.
However, he assured the body that through his campaign along with others, they will work and fight to redeem men in order for their voices to be heard in their respective homes.
He encouraged men to know and identify that there is a giant in them and it is time for them to wake up said giant in them for the betterment of their children and the future generation of the society.
Fathers , he pointed out provide physical and emotional security for their homes and the nation in general as such, it is key that they create a safe space they can be heard and learn more.
“Fathers need to to see and validate the potential in the life of their children “, he noted.
Author Blamoh further explained that the Silent Cry as indicated in the book is seeing the need to revolutionize the heart of men in order for them to be able to see the potential of their children and create the space for them.
“I grew up in rejection, I was a Footballer, there were lots of things said about me, however, my mother stood the test of time and raised eight children including me, a mother who stopped at just 7th grade” , he narrated.
Amb. Blamoh, who used his life story to inspire others, named resilence and strong determination as pillars that led him to succeed .
He used the occasion to encourage others not give up in life despite their challenges but to remain focus and determine in order to overcome such challenges in life.
“Sometimes, the only person to begin with and to recognize is you”, he added.
Amb. Blamoh, an author, man of God, an educator is also a motivational speaker and a recipient of several awards including the Black Excellence Awards in the USA.
Meanwhile, recognizing their contributions and role played in his life, Amb. Blamoh presented trophies and certificates to deserving personalities including: Bishop, James K. Jarbah, Dr. Charles Gbollie and Grace Bryant amongst others.
