Monrovia, Liberia– The West African Examinations Council of Liberia has warned the public against misleading information circulating of August 6. 2025 Wassce results release.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s regular press conference on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, WAEC through its Head of Office in Liberia, Mr. Dale Gbotoe emphasized that ongoing misinformation has misled the public, and the institution is distancing itself from such false rumors.
According to him, before the official release of WASSEC results, they are first submitted to the ministry of education and the executive for further review and approval.
Gbotoe added that, the move is intended to ensure all necessary validation are completed and concerns are addressed before the results are made public, highlighting that WAEC remains committed to primary date that was presented for the official release which is August 15. 2025.
Speaking further, he disclosed that out of over one hundred and eighty thousand individuals who sat the national exams, the Government of Liberia through President Joseph Nyuma Boakai covered the fees for close to eighty thousand eligible candidates.
The council conducts exit examinations in 5 English-speaking countries of West Africa Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and the Gambia.
To conclude Gbotoe reassured their commitment to supporting the government’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development to ensure WAEC remains accountable and a credible source to all and every Liberian.
