President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a condolence message to Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of Malawi following the death of the Vice President of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, and nine others, who were killed in a plane crash in the Chikangawa Forest in Malawi on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai expressed profound sadness and deep sorrow following the death of these senior officials of the Malawian Government.
In his message to the President of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, the Liberian leader on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in his own name, extended heartfelt condolence to the Government and people of Malawi for the irreparable loss sustained.
He then prayed that the Almighty God would grant McCarthy Chakwera, President of Malawi, and the people of Malawi strength, courage, and fortitude as they go through this difficult period of National mourning.
