All Eyes on the Counties: 5-Day Countdown to the 2025/26 National County Sports Meet.

Liberia’s most celebrated sporting festival, the National County Sports Meet, is just five days away from kicking off nationwide, with Maryland County serving as the proud host of the tournament’s opening festivities.

The National County Meet an annual competition that showcases unity, culture, and athletic talent across the country features participation from all 15 county of Liberia. This year’s edition is scheduled to begin on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with the grand opening ceremony taking place in Harper City, Maryland County. The tournament will run for more than a month, concluding on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville.

Both football and kickball will headline the competition, with matches set to follow a weekly schedule, played strictly on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays during the group-stage period, which spans one week.
