In a statement released by the AREPT team, it confirmed the authenticity of the letter but termed it as premature, stating that, it may have been released by Madam Bundoo or someone in her circle.

The Taskforce detailed that, the original document contained security features unique to its official communication.
Meanwhile, the team clarifies that Madam Bundoo is not the only one being investigated, the AREPT force is currently working on 26 active cases involving both past and current government officials who have been accused of misusing public funds.
It stressed that receiving an invitation from AREPT does not point you guilty, but rather a procedure to due process.
