Bong Mines Hospital has officially inducted Augustine Kukeh as its new administrator, following months without proper leadership.
The ceremony, held in the hospital’s conference room, marks a pivotal change for the facility, which is vital for healthcare in Lower Bong County.
During the event, Human Resource Officer Salia Kollie, speaking on behalf of the Medical Director, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health and the Bong County health team for the appointment.
He urged staff to collaborate with Mr. Kukeh to enhance healthcare services.
In his acceptance speech, Rev. Augustine Kukeh thanked God for the opportunity to serve while pledging his commitment to addressing key challenges at the hospital, including poor electricity, inadequate staff housing, limited vehicles, and the regularization of volunteer health workers.
The induction was attended by various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, and government officials, all expressing support for Mr. Kukeh’s new role.
As administrator, he will oversee hospital operations, ensure quality patient care, and manage resources effectively, with the community eager for his vision and improvements for Bong Mines Hospital.
