Ahead of October 10 Elections, Magistrates Cautions Senatorial Candidates to work in accordance with the Farmington River Declaration.
Grand Cape Mount Elections Magistrate Mr. Joseph Kiazolu has cautioned candidates vying for the senatorial seat to adhere to the Farmington River Declaration ahead of October 10, elections in Liberia.
Speaking during a day long dialogue with senatorial candidates on reconciling campaign schedule in Robert sport City, Magistrate Kiazolu, said schedules presented are not colliding as candidates will have to live up to what was agreed.
According him, all candidates vying for legislative positions signed a document that committed themselves to upholding the peace of democracy.
Also speaking at the dialogue, political parties spoke sperson’s welcomed the dialogue scheduled by the National Elections Commission Local Office in Cape Mount and committed their candidates commitment to upholding the peace of the country.
For his part, the Federation of Liberia Youth Cape Mount Chapter coordinator Laurenzo Karteh lauded the Magistrate of Cape Mount and asserted that the dialogue was important as it gives opportunity to Senatorial Candidates to comprehend the different schedules to avoid candidates meeting at the same places.
The FLY Coordinator has maintained, that ahead of the campaign process they have brought youth leaders across the country to attend peace dialogue in making them to understand political tolerance , drugs abuse and among others.
