Brooklyn Park, MN – The Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas, Minnesota Chapter, has elected Helen Tarley as its new president, ushering in a new era of leadership for the Liberian diaspora community in Minnesota.

In her acceptance speech, Tarley expressed gratitude to God and members of the association for entrusting her with the role. She also praised the contributions of outgoing president George Floyd, interim president Bobby Tudee, and former board members for their “tireless efforts” in strengthening the organization.

Tarley pledged to focus her administration on promoting peace, unity, and collaboration among Grand Gedeans while forging alliances with like-minded organizations in line with the association’s constitution.

“I believe that by working together, we can achieve great things,” she said. “I encourage each of you to actively participate, share your ideas, and contribute to our collective success. United, we will make a lasting positive impact on our organization and the wider community.”

Her leadership is expected to build on the association’s past achievements while fostering deeper engagement within the Liberian community in Minnesota.
