“Unlike former justices of the Supreme Court bench, I am not receiving my entitlement” Former Vice President, Jewel Howard Taylor disclosed.
According to her, despite repeated communications to relevant authorities of government to have them informed about her just benefits, nothing is yet to be done up to press time.
“After the inauguration ceremony, i turned over my vehicle to the current Vice President and expected the transitional team to provide a vehicle for me as part of the process to take me home but that did not happen”, she further explained.
She narrated on Spoon Talk that she waited for about forty five minutes under a tree after the inauguration before going home.
She stated that the situation was unfair and embarrassing for her but she managed to get home later on a private vehicle.
However, she wants the government to do the needful by making available all of her benefits ranging from vehicle, security and whatever percentage of her financial benefits.
It is a year and three months since the new government took over as one will wonder why the former Vice President is speaking now .
However, others argued that she was exhausting all other necessary avenues through written communications to relevant authorities awaiting fruitful response before taking a next course of action as her revelation today appears to be a wake-up call for prompt action to be taken by the government soon.
