Monrovia, Liberia — December 12, 2025:
The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested Liberian musician Karwordou Cole, widely known as Bucky Raw, following an early-morning raid at his Duport Road residence as part of its ongoing nationwide anti-drug campaign, “Clean Wave.”

According to an LDEA release issued Thursday, officers executed a court-approved search and seizure warrant at approximately 7:00 a.m., leading to the arrest of Cole and several others. During the operation, agents seized 31.6 grams of marijuana.
The suspects are currently undergoing investigation and will be forwarded to court for prosecution, the agency said.
The LDEA further clarified that under Liberia’s current drug law, all drug-related offenses are non-bailable, dismissing speculation circulating on social media regarding possible release conditions.
The agency encouraged the public to remain vigilant and support national efforts against drug trafficking by reporting suspicious activities through its hotlines: 0777133333 or 0888133333.
The “Clean Wave” operation has been ongoing as part of the government’s intensified crackdown on illegal narcotics across the country.
