Liberia Children’s forum elects New cops of Officers ahead of African Child Day (ACD)

Kakata; Margibi County:

In accordance with African Child Day, the Liberia Children’s Forum on June 15, 2023, conducted elections for leaders from across the fifteen subdivisions of Liberia.


The election which brought together serval Children from across Liberia, was held at the Liberia National Red Cross head office in kakata, Margibi County.

Meanwhile, the election was held under the theme “Promoting Digital and Security for Every Child”.


However, the Assistant Minister for children protection at the Ministry of Gender madam Meninna Kart lauded the election commissioners for conducting the election in a peaceful manner.
According to Minister Kart, the Liberian Children’s Forum is a nonviolent institution, which seeks the welfare of Liberian children.
She however the Assistant minister called on national leaders to follow the same path as Liberians gear up for the October 10 general elections.


Meanwhile, those elected as officials of the Liberian Children’s Forum from its June 15, 2023 election include:


Cyrus K. Wear _ chairman
Mayamah A. Dolleh_ co_ chair
Roberto Cooper_ Secretary General
Michael Z. Lama_ Deputy Secretary
Henry L. Nyelateh_ Ombudsman


For his part, the newly elected chairman of the Liberian Children’s Forum Cyrus K. Wea
assure members of the Liberian Children’s Forum of good working relationship. Promising that his administration will not be a toothless bulldog, which according to him they work in making sure that youth that are involved in the consumption of harmful substances will be curtailed.

We also added that under his administration the Liberian Children’s Forum will build a website that will enable the decentralization of the institution, something he said members that are in other countries will understand the working of the Liberian Children’s Forum.
Chairman-elect Cyrus K. Wea however use the medium to express thanks to his supporters for voting as their leader, and also call on the Liberian government through the Ministry of Gender to rally around the Liberian children forum in order to achieve its goal.
