In a drive to Empower female students of Liberia, a non for profit institution under the umbrella of Kutoa Afrika Foundation has been officially launched.
Located in Paynesville, Rehab community, the institution envisioned to prepare young students in order for them to realize their full potential.
Speaking at the launching program, the CEO of Kutoa Afrika Foundation Dr. Grace Ann Dinkins said her initiative among other things is to give back to the society.
” The name Kutoa is a swahili word meaning giving and we have come to give and not only to give but to empower our future leaders”, Madam Dinkins re-emphasized.
She encouraged the potential beneficiaries of the program to practice how to be a giver because, according to her, whenever you give, you have more power.
The institution she told the gathering as part of its initiative will provide free training to female students in computer education for the period of three months.
Also, speaking at the launching ceremony was Elmo Dinkins , Chief Executive Officer of LEAP Forward Program who appreciated the CEO for helping to empower the future leaders of Liberia.
He stated that empowering young girls is key, especially in computer program, which is essential to one growth process.
According to him, the initiative they are benefiting from is due to Dr. Dinkins dream as such, he used the occasion to encourage them never to stop dreaming and never to stop thinking but to aim higher and do their best for the betterment of the society.
At the same time, the Executive Director of Kutoa Afrika Foundation in Liberia Emmanuel Kpoto challenged the girls to make maximun use of the computer training opportunity giving to them in order to help shape their lives.
“We urge you to remain focused, be discipline, come to school on time and do your best “, he encouraged the students.
The program Mr. Kpoto indicated will start with eighteen female students from three schools in the Rahab community namely: Catherine Mcguire Catholic School, Angel Michael International School and the Keneja public Elementary school respectively.
Meanwhile, the happy beneficieries all females thanked Kutoa Afrika Foundation for the golden opportunity giving to them and they pledged to make maximize use of the training in order to prepare them for the future.
