Paynesville, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has launched an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating Edwin Mulbah, a 32‑year‑old man suspected of killing his girlfriend, Rachael Korto, during a domestic‑violence incident on Sunday night.
According to LNP officials, the tragedy unfolded at approximately 10:00 p.m. on January 25, 2026 in the Big Belleh Junction area of the Soul Clinic Community, Paynesville.
Neighbours reported hearing a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Korto deceased and Mulbah had fled.
“The evidence we have points to Edwin Mulbah as the primary suspect,” said Inspector Samuel Johnson of the Paynesville Police Division.
“We are treating this case as a homicide stemming from domestic violence and are employing all available resources to bring the perpetrator to justice.”
Mulbah’s whereabouts remain unknown. The LNP is urging anyone who may have seen him, heard his name mentioned, or possesses any information—no matter how trivial it may seem—to contact the police immediately.
“The public’s cooperation is essential,” Inspector Johnson added. “All information will be treated with strict confidentiality, and callers will be protected from any retaliation.”
