President Joseph Nyuma Boakai is expected to deliver his first address at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States of America on September 25, 2024.
President Boakai and his delegation members are already in the United States of America to participate in the 79th session of the UNGA.
The annual global gathering brings together world leaders and global partners to among other things discuss global issues confronting the planet and their respective Countries.
Issues of climate change , sustainable development, Peace and Security, Health and Education among others are always highlighted during these discussions.
The Liberian leader is expected to address his colleagues on the international stage where he is expected to make Liberia’s case with focus on his Government’s development envelop, the ARREST AGENDA as well as his commitment to international instruments and protocols respectively.
President Boakai as part of his official duties while in the USA especially on the sidelines of the session is also expected to solicit assistance from friendly nations to help support his ARREST AGENDA including how they can make interventions for his government and the people of Liberia in general.
He is also expected to flag other global issues confronting the planet and its people including Global Peace and Security, Education, Health, Regional Cooperation, Climate Change, Development, among others.
As President Boakai poised to deliver his address on the global stage on Wednesday, critics will also be expecting him to use the international platform to seize the moment and call for support and robust action for the full implementation and excution of the establishment of World and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.
