The House of Representatives has categorically dismissed the misleading information circulating on social media regarding the alleged rejection of Liberia’s elected representatives to the ECOWAS Parliament.
“Let it be made clear that under the leadership of Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, the House has not received any official communication from the ECOWAS Parliament on this matter”, the House reemphasized.
The House of Representatives through an official statement on the matter pointed out for record that the Office of the Chief Clerk serves as the official conduit for all communications to and from the Plenary—both locally and internationally clarifying that Official parliamentary matters are not conducted on Facebook.
“We urge all Liberians and residents to disregard baseless social media rumors and rely on credible sources for accurate information”, the House added.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives assures that Liberia’s Legislative Governance process remains responsible, structured, and transparent.
