Youth-Led organization, Empower HER Foundation has officially launched its landmark initiative titled, “Desk for Dreams” project in Liberia.
Guided by the theme, “Seat a Child, Shape the Future,” the initiative is designed to uplift education and create equitable learning opportunities for children in underserved communities across Liberia.
To kickstart the project, the Foundation made an impactful stop at Soniwein Public School – donating 100 new armchairs, replacing inadequate seating to give students a more comfortable, focused, and dignified learning environment.
In addendum to the desks, the Foundation distributed essential educational school supplies to 300 students, equipping them with the necessary materials they need to succeed in their academic journey.

This milestone, according to the executive director Dorothy Siah Stanley, represents much more than a single donation—noting, it is a vital investment in education, human dignity, and the future leaders of Liberia.
She says, the project aims to help transform the learning environment of students and shape Liberia’s future in a positive trajectory.
Madam Stanley told newsmen that her organization remains deeply focused on expanding the project with an aim of reaching more school-going kids in underserved communities, whilst ensuring that every child has the enabling learning environment to help them thrive.
The success of the “Desk for Dreams” project calls on all stakeholders to rally behind community-driven solutions for a stronger educational foundation across the 15 sub-political divisions of Liberia and beyond.
