Fisherman Arthur Saye of Robertsport commended the local fishing authorities for their efforts in improving and including new members in the fishing community.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Piso, Saye praised the fishing authority for taking on experienced members who can collaborate with and support fishermen.
He expressed hope for positive outcomes under their leadership, including advocating for fishermen and ensuring integrity in their work.
Saye also acknowledged the authority’s advocacy for fair tax payments, working permits, and other important matters.
Additionally, he highlighted the authority’s actions in addressing safety concerns, particularly regarding attacks by soldiers from Sierra Leone.
“Thanks to the effective measures implemented by the leadership of the CMA and National Fishery and Aquaculture Authorities fishermen are now safer at sea,”he praised.
