HUMANITARIAN MERCY HINNEH PREPARES 2026 WEST AFRICA TOUR AFTER KENYA, UGANDA, ETHIOPIA MISSION

MONROVIA – Liberian-American humanitarian and child advocate Mercy Hinneh has returned to her base in the United States following a two-month humanitarian tour across East Africa.
Hinneh, CEO of God’s Blueprint Foundation and Head Minister of God’s Blueprint Ministry, distributed relief supplies to orphanages, schools, and vulnerable communities in Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia.
She said the tour exposed her to severe gaps in funding, overcrowding, and what she calls “emotional neglect” in child care facilities.
Hinneh says her passion comes from personal experience.
After her mother relocated to the U.S. in 1997, she endured years of physical and emotional abuse while living with relatives during Liberia’s civil unrest. That trauma, she says, shaped her mission.
“My story was shaped by what I have overcome and what God has done in my life. I wanted a different life; I dreamed of becoming a doctor and breaking away from everything around me.”
Now back in the U.S., Hinneh is mobilizing funding and partnerships for programs targeting mental health, education, child protection, and social reintegration across West Africa.
She plans to launch her West Africa tour in November 2026 or early 2027, with Liberia as the first stop. She hopes to meet President Joseph N. Boakai and officials from the Ministries of Gender, Children and Social Protection, and Health to discuss government collaboration.
Hinneh warns that poverty, political instability, and family breakdown are fueling a mental health crisis among African children.
Hinneh joins a growing network of Liberian-Americans leading humanitarian work across the continent.
Her foundation says details of the West Africa outreach will be announced once U.S. partnerships are secured.
