Residents of Mandingo Quarter and Datuta Communities all in Kakata City Margibi County will soon be relief of their old age bridge situation.
Well, this is so because of the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a modern bridge project in their area.
Under the generous intervention of former Presidential Aide, Sekou Kalasco Damaro, the bridge very strategic due to its location upon full completion will serve as a major transit for students, elders , marketers including community dwellers within the area.
“I am building this bridge because am told that during the rainy season people find it difficult to cross to do their normal business” says Sekou Kalasco Damaro” .
According to him, he sees his initiative of giving back to his people as obligatory especially by identifying a strategic need in a timely manner and form.
Sekou stated that working with a leader, former President George Weah and seeing his past and current interventions on the lives of his people, it was only prudent enough for him to follow suit for his own people back home.
“I am happy and very passionate to do this because I see great leader like former President Weah transforming the lives of his people and it is a good thing to emulate the good examples of a great leader”, he re-emphasized.
With smile beaming all over their faces and in a jubilant mood as a sound of great relief which appears as a dream come through for the people, the local residents dance and celebrated the new development in their area which they stated has been lacking for years.
“We are so happy and grateful for such an initiative and we know that this is a great help and relief to us, please keep up the good work for us and we are in prayers with you always”, some happy beneficiaries told the media.
According to them, during the rainy season, they find it very difficult to move from one point to the other especially via the bridge but with the new bridge project, it will now put an end to their old age nightmare situation.
The residents of Mandingo Quarter and Datuta who commended Mr. Damaro for such a giant step in their community encouraged him to do more whilst challenging others especially prominent sons and daughters of Margibi to emulate the continuous good work of their kinsman.
Sekou, The son of Margibi has over the period continue to initiate self help and people centered projects within the County with a direct focus of helping to transform their lives for the better.
Meanwhile, As he remains passionate to continue to change the lives of his people for the better, Sekou continue to demonstrate his ability as a true and inspiring leader of his generation especially through the provisions of scholarships to youth of Margibi to return to school, the modernization of a car washing center, youth and students empowerment drive, meaningful advocacy for the release of inmate from the Monrovia Central Prison as well as other empowerment and developmental initiatives in Margibi County among others.
Mr. Damaro reassured his people that he will do less talk and more actions oriented work which will serve as a testament to his good work all intended to better the lives of his people.
