Liberia Makes History in International Bodybuilding as LBFA Debuts National Team at IFBB Mister Equinox 2026

Monrovia, Liberia — The Liberia Bodybuilding & Fitness Association (LBFA) the official affiliate of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB)in Liberia, proudly announces a historic milestone as the country sends its first-ever official international bodybuilding delegation* to compete at the IFBB Mister Equinox International Bodybuilding Championship in Ivory Coast.

For the first time in Liberia’s bodybuilding history, a full national delegation consisting of four (4) elite athletes, federation executives, and official media representation will travel together to represent the nation on an international IFBB stage. This marks the official international debut of Liberia’s national bodybuilding program and a defining moment for Liberia’s global fitness presence.

Team Liberia – Athletes

The four athletes selected to represent Liberia are:

  • Alonso Harmon
  • Ramsey G. Davies
  • Jesse Betteh
  • Dave Momo

LBFA Executive Leadership & Official Media

The delegation will be led by LBFA executives Adonis M. Gbilwon and Stanley Faijue, providing federation leadership, athlete support, and official representation at the championship.

Also joining the delegation is Liberia’s top female photographer, Sally Conteh, serving as official media to document this historic international debut and elevate Liberia’s visual presence on the global bodybuilding stage.

Speaking on this landmark achievement, Junda Morris, President of the Liberia Bodybuilding & Fitness Association, stated:

“This moment is deeply personal and historic for Liberia. For the first time, we are not just sending athletes — we are sending a complete national delegation with leadership, structure, and professional media representation. This is about legacy, credibility, and showing the world that Liberia belongs on the global bodybuilding stage.”

The IFBB Mister Equinox International Championship is one of West Africa’s premier bodybuilding events, attracting elite competitors and federation officials from across the region. Liberia’s participation represents a major step forward in athlete development, international exposure, and professional recognition under the IFBB framework.
