The Executive Director of Youth Alliance for Rural Development (YARD-Liberia) Dennis Kromah and Volunteer, Diamond Howard are expected to represent the organization at the upcoming Mano River Union Internet Governance Forum in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The forum is set to take place from October 9 to October 11, 2024, and will bring together delegates from across the region to discuss critical issues related to internet governance and digital inclusivity.
Among other things, The Mano River Union Internet Governance Forum serves as a platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and collaborate on strategies that promote a safe and inclusive digital space in the Mano River Union region.
YARD-Liberia’s Representatives, Dennis Kromah and Diamond Howard will join other delegates from Liberia to contribute their expertise and perspectives to these important conversations.
“I am happy that our organization was extended an invitation to participate in the Mano River Union Internet Governance Forum and engage with other key stakeholders in the region,” said Dennis Kromah, Executive Director of YARD-Liberia.
According to him, the forum presents a valuable opportunity to address pressing internet governance issues and work towards a more secure and accessible digital future for all.
As for Diamond Howard, a dedicated volunteer at YARD-Liberia, he expressed excitement about the upcoming forum, stating, “I am honored to represent YARD-Liberia, Inc. at this important event. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with experts in the field to drive positive change in internet governance practices”, he noted.
YARD-Liberia boss stated that hia organization is committed to empowering communities through knowledge and fostering digital inclusion for all.
Moreover, he pointed out that his organization recognizes the significance of active participation in regional discussions that shape the future of the digital landscape in the Mano River Union countries.
