To all the participants who poured their hearts into this competition, please remember that a true winner is not defined solely by the final ranking, but by the courage to try and the perseverance to keep going. If you didn’t achieve the result you hoped for this year, we wholeheartedly encourage you to come back and try again next year. Your dedication and effort are what truly matter, and every attempt brings you closer to your goals.
As we celebrate the success of the reading competition, I am also excited to announce the upcoming launch of our next vital program: The CARS Summit – Children Against Rape and Sexual Violence Summit. This crucial initiative aims to gather 100 young people, students aged 8 to 19 years, to foster a deeper understanding of sexual violence and equip them with knowledge on how to avoid such situations. We firmly believe in empowering our youth with the information and tools they need to stay safe. We are actively seeking partnerships with schools to make this summit a resounding success and encourage interested institutions to reach out to us.
Furthermore, in our ongoing commitment to community development, Team Stand Liberia will be conducting a city-wide awareness campaign in Johnsonville, championed by the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC). This initiative will focus on propagating the significance of keeping our city clean and promoting adherence to its ordinances. We believe in the importance of civic responsibility and creating a healthy environment for all.
To the young and aspiring readers across Liberia, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in our reading competition in the coming years. This platform offers a valuable space to showcase your talents, build confidence, and connect with a community that champions the power of reading.
Furthermore, I extend a sincere invitation to schools, organizations, and individuals to consider partnering with us as sponsors in future competitions and in our upcoming CARS Summit and Johnsonville awareness campaign. Your support is vital in our collective effort to nurture the intellectual growth and safety of Liberia’s next generation and cultivate a strong sense of civic responsibility.
Team Stand Liberia, under my leadership, remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting literacy, safeguarding our children, and fostering community development in Liberia. We are excited about the impact of our upcoming programs and look forward to continued collaboration.
Thank you once again to every single person and institution that played a part in making this year’s reading competition a resounding success. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Liberia’s youth and our communities.
Sincerely,
Sir. Sean Enoch Zokruah
