President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Republic of France on the occasion commemorating the Bastille Day, the National Day anniversary of that great country on July 14, 2024.
In his message to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, President Boakai extended sincere congratulations on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, to the Government and people of France as they celebrate this historic occasion.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader expressed deep pleasure to President Macron’s administration for increasing the French developmental initiatives in Liberia, spanning education, agriculture, and other vital sectors.
He furthered that the bilateral and multilateral ties between Liberia and France have been characterized by cordiality, harmony and mutual respect.
President Boakai emphasized that the commemoration of the Bastille not only celebrates the unity of France but also inspires all nations and people to strive for freedom, justice and equality.
The Liberian leader stressed that he look forward to further enhancing cooperation, including joint ventures between the people of Liberia and France in the coming days, months, and years ahead.
He then prayed for President Macron’s continued good health and wisdom as he leads his nation to greater prosperity.
