President Joseph Nyumah Boakai and delegation has departed the Country for Canada to participate in the 2024 “Liberia Investment Forum”, taking place in Toronto from September 16 to 22.
During the forum, President Boakai will deliver the keynote address, showcasing Liberia’s investment potential on the international stage.
The event, themed “Driving Economic Growth Through Investment in Liberia’s Key Sectors,” aims to engage international investors and discuss areas of mutual interests.
In a recent interview at Roberts International Airport on 17 September 2024, President Boakai emphasized that the forum will provide a platform for exploring partnerships aligned with the government’s ARREST Agenda, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, mining, and economic growth.
Historically, the forum has facilitated partnerships, boosted investor confidence, and contributed to Liberia’s economic development.
Following the investment forum, President Boakai is also set to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City. This will mark his first appearance at the UNGA as president, providing an opportunity to engage with world leaders on critical issues such as climate change, security, and human rights, while promoting a unified approach to global challenges.
