Residents of Konola Community are urgently calling on the Ministry of Public Works to rehabilitate the Konola Bridge, which has become unsafe for public use due to severe damaged.
The Konola Bridge is a major route connecting Konola to Wahala and serves as a key passage to Kakata. It is widely used by citizens traveling from Bong County, Nimba County, and Grand Gedeh County on their way to Monrovia. Because of its importance, the bridge plays a vital role in national transportation and economic activities.

According to residents, the bridge is plagued with potholes and damaged sections that pose serious risks to motorcycle riders and drivers. Following recent accidents reported especially involving motorcyclist and vehicle traveling to and from Monrovia, Bong, and Nimba Counties.

The Acting Police Commander of Margibi County, CSP Arthur K. Jarvey, confirmed that he is aware of the situation unfolding at the bridge. However, he appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene as soon as possible, warning that timely action is necessary to prevent a future recurrence.
Residents warned that if immediate action is Arthur Jarvey, OIC, LNP taken, the bridge could suffer complete structural failure. They fear it may soon become a death trap for road users if left unattended.
Residents are therefore appealing to the Ministry of Public Works, to intervene as soon as possible to repair and rehabilitate the damaged portions of the bridge, in order to prevent further accidents and ensure the safety of citizens who depend on this critical route.
