Monrovia, Liberia — Charles Phillip Taylor Jr., son of former Liberian President Charles G. Taylor and Former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, has died, family sources have confirmed.
According to relatives, Taylor Jr. passed away at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital on Tuesday at about 3:29 p.m. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed.
Taylor Jr. was remembered by family and close associates as a determined and hardworking young man who placed a strong emphasis on education and personal development.
In July 2023, his family publicly celebrated a major academic milestone after he earned a Master’s degree in Shipping and Port Administration from the Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana.
The family has not yet announced funeral arrangements. They have requested privacy as they mourn their loss.
