PLP Holds First Leadership Summit in Monrovia, Signals Growing Grassroots Mobilization Across 7 Districts

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The People’s Liberation Party, PLP, convened its First National Leadership Summit on Friday at Destiny Hall in Monrovia, drawing more than 3,000 partisans and leaders from seven districts in a show of organizational strength ahead of the pending General Elections comes 2029.
The summit brought together representatives from various Districts in Montserrado.
According to party officials at the summit, the gathering was intended to consolidate internal structures, align district leadership, and reaffirm the party’s platform centered on national transformation among others.
Speaking at the Summit, the National Chairman of PLP Representative Bernard Blue Benson, Jr. alias “DJ Blue,” called on partisans to maintain discipline, protect party unity, and remain focused on the PLP’s long-term objectives.
He noted that the Liberian people are looking for leadership that will serve, represent, factcheck leaders and must be ready to deliver timely to the people of Liberia.
Meanwhile, Party officials highlighted the turnout as evidence of expanding grassroots support with participation from over 3,000 registered partisans in a single event, the PLP said the summit demonstrates its capacity to mobilize across multiple constituencies simultaneously.
Political analysts observing the event noted the prominence of Hon. Benson, whose outreach extends beyond his home district.

They noted that Hon. Blue has established himself as a national campaign asset while also noting that his ability to connect with communities outside his immediate district reflects the broader appeal the PLP is building for the future.
The PLP just ended summit is the first in a series of engagements aimed at strengthening party structures at the district and community levels.
Leadership said the focus in the coming months will be on voter education, policy rollout, and continued grassroots expansion.
