The Liberia Telecommunications Authority has warned unauthorized Starlink dealers, marketers, promoters, and resellers to cease and desist from fraudulently offering Starlink products and services to the public.
According to the LTA , Engaging in such activities is prohibited and those doing so will face legal consequences.
The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) latest warning comes following its observation that certain individuals and businesses are illegally promoting, marketing and selling Starlink products and services in Liberia, and in some instances are claiming to be authorized Starlink dealers.
The regulatory Telecommunications body very procative in its operations swiftly informed the public that the LTA has not authorized any individual or business to provide telecommunications services using Starlink products and services.
The LTA stated that even though they granted a provisional license to Starlink, their services in Liberia will commence only after the official launch of the company’s operations in Liberia.
At the same time, The LTA has reassured the public that it remains committed to protecting consumers and safeguarding telecoms markets and will take all necessary measures against violators.
Meanwhile, the LTA has therefore advised the public that transacting with unauthorized Starlink dealers is at their own risk.
