Abdullah Kiatamba Blasts Unity Party Government for Empty Job promises, Condemns Judicial Overreach in Prophet Key Case

Monrovia, Liberia – The Executive Director of BGS Media & Marketing Consultancy, Abdullah Kiatamba, has criticized the Unity Party government for failing to generate meaningful employment opportunities for Liberian youth.

Appearing on Prime FM Monday, Kiatamba urged the government to move beyond empty promises and implement concrete job creation programs.

He described recent vacancy announcements from ministries as scams designed to showcase activity rather than deliver employment,” Kiatamba warned that youth disillusionment is rising due to unmet expectations.

He recommended that each ministry establish dedicated units responsible for transparent job creation, skills training, and direct service delivery to citizens.

Kiatamba also expressed concern over the six-month prison sentence handed to Justine Oldpa Yeazeahn popularly known as Prophet Key, stating that the ruling focused on personal insult rather than the public interest (corruption allegation) and “undermines confidence in the judiciary.

He emphasized that the judiciary should protect citizens’ rights, not use its authority to silence dissent.

The government must translate its lofty commitments into real, measurable results that lift ordinary Liberians out of poverty,” Kiatamba said. “Likewise, our courts must protect the rights of every citizen, not use their authority to silence dissent.”

The statement from Kiatamba highlights growing concerns over the government’s approach to youth employment and judicial fairness in Liberia.
