Grand Cape Mount County Legislative Caucus had presented 20 Motor bikes to the local authorities in the county.
Receiving 20 motor bikes from the Caucus, the Local Authorities of Cape Mount were ecstatic.
Senator Varney G. Sherman, presenting the motor bikes on behalf of the Caucus, explained that after purchasing vehicles for the superintendent and two assistant superintendents, the resolution from the last county sitting in November 2022 highlighted the need for transportation for Local Government Officials lower in rank.
Senator Sherman identified, the recipients of the motor bikes, including the Statuary Superintendent, Statuary Development, Superintendent for Gola Konneh and Porkpa Districts, four District Commissioners, five Paramount Chiefs, two Relieving Commissioners, and six Township Commissioners.
The purpose of providing these bikes, according to Councilor Sherman, was to minimize transportation costs during urgent county matters and he emphasized the need for the bikes to be used exclusively for their intended purpose since they were purchased with county funds.
He added that the Caucus plans to extend this initiative by purchasing motor bikes for all Clan Chiefs and the Superintendent.
He urged other authorities to make necessary preparations to receive the motor bikes.
Superintendent Aaron B. Vincent expressed, gratitude to the Caucus for their prompt action in providing the motor bikes.
He emphasized, the responsibility of the recipients to carefully keep the necessary documents for these vehicles.
Supt. Vincent assured the Caucus that they could rely on the Local Authorities to make efficient use of the motor bikes.
