Margibi County: The Etta-Satta Foundation Aid Life Skills Training Initative in Konola along the Weala Hardware has graduated five hundred and twenty-nine students in live skill training programs.
The event was held at the Weala Public School Auditorium on 16 of August that brought together over thousands citizens of Konola, Weala and other surrounding towns and villages in District #5, Margibi County.
Giving the overview of the program, Madam Alice T. Baysah, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation and representative candidate of Margibi fifth electoral district#5 said, the program is a project of her late mother dream that she intend implementing since she dies.
Madam Baysah further asserted that with the knowledge being impacted in them , women acquiring knowledge in various disciplines will be self-sufficient in aiding their male counterparts.
According to the district#5 representative hopeful, based on their assessment and request from the people the 529 graduates were trained in two disciplines including Soap Making and Baking indicating that the training lasted for three months.
For her part, Madam Set Fofanah Sahr
Coordinator of Liberia Chiefs and Elders who proxy on behalf of VP Jewel Howard Taylor encouraged the graduates to take seriously the knowledge being impacted to them.
She explained that whenever a lady is self-sufficient they can be a help to their homes and their spouses will not look down on them as they will be contributing greatly to their respective homes.
