A very key and important Minister of Government, Boima Kamara has officially resigned as Minister of Finance and Development Planning.
With nearly six months of the new administration, Kamara’s resignation has brought shock wave in the corridors of the Country.
Reports also have it that there were series of reasons behind his resignation but top amongst them is his alledge poor health even though sources say, Mr. Kamara is now better in health unlike before.
According to insiders , President Boakai’s alledge lack of trust and confidence in Kamara’s performance and ability to serve at his satisfaction amongst other things alledgelly promoted Kamara’s forceful resignation, something we can not independently verified.
However, as important as such strategic position is for the effective and efficient running of government, the Liberian leader is expected upon his return to the Country later today to officially accept Kamara’s resignation and subsequently nominate a new Finance Minister to fill the vacancy.
So far, two names have been circulating in the corridors for possible replacement including former Finance and Foreign Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafua and former Auditor General of the General Services Agency, John Morlu.
As discussions and lobbying continues, the Liberian leader will make known his new Finance and Development Planning Minister soon to the Liberian people.
