Monrovia, Liberia: Barely three days to Liberia’s Presidential runoff election, the New Liberian Party (NLP) Standard bearer has given support for the governing Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).
The second round of the presidential election is slated for 14 November, 2023.
The former presidential candidate, Rev. Dr. Joshua Tom Turner was on Friday, November 10, 2023 seen encouraging his support-base to reelect the George Weah CDC-led government for the next six years to provide responsible leadership for the Country.
Rev. Dr. Turner named the payment of WASSCE fees for senior students across Liberia, the construction and rehabilitation of major roads, stable electricity, free tertiary education in public universities across Liberia amongst others, as tangible evidences for the re-election of Mr. Weah.
He added, no sitting government can initiate major developmental projects and complete all within the timeframe of six years; something according to him, triggers the need for continuation in order to have those projects completed.
The former presidential candidate of the just ended October 10 polls, extended his voice to the opposition community to join him vote the Weah-Tylor ticket on November 14, 2023, while indicating that Liberia deserves better development.
He also used the occasion to criticise the former ruling establishment (Unity Party) for misusing government funds and squandering too many opportunities that would have otherwise benefited the vast majority of the population during its twelve years of administration.
He wants Liberians to cast their ballots in favour of Mr. Weah because, according to him, Joseph Boakai in terms of practical achievements, has absolutely nothing to show as tangibles during his term as VP of Liberia.
