In an effort to adequately prepare law enforcement actors on digital security, the Monrovia Business School has ended a three day Digital Security awareness training.
The training which brought together Security personnel from five Public Security entities to include, The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency, The Liberia National Fire Service, The Liberia National Commission on Arms , Monrovia City Police and the Ministry of Justice was among other things geared towards further enhancing the skills of these justice actors in the wake of major cyber threats and the way of mitigating them.
Speaking at the close of the training, the acting board chair of the Monrovia Business School Lasana Kromah said digital security awareness is the globla hall mark today.
He told the participants that the world is now migrating very fast digitally as such, it is key that security professionals of Liberia be ready and prepare to move along especially in building their capacity in order to combat these threats.
” Be innovative, see the growth coming and move along if not , you will remain behind,” he told the gathering.
At the same time, Mr. Kromah encouraged the first batch of participants of the training to serve as ambassadors and made the necessary changes and differences that the world is looking for.
The digital security awareness training he stated serves as a career enhancement as such encouraged the participants to see it as a building block in order for them to advance themselves further.
Kromah, who also commended the facilitators for a job well done, also praised the participants for their time and active engagement and participation over the last three days.
The intensive training, among other things provided in debt knowledge on practical skills and fundamentals about digital Security, risk assessment, data threats and mitigation strategies among others.
Participants at the end of the three days capacity development session gained knowledge and skills in digital security networking and cyber threats .
Moreover, they were trained on how to promote cultural digital resilience skills .
In a happy mood participants promise to fully implement what they have acquired over the last three days and assure the public of helping to strengthen cyber security awareness and other security awarenesses as true Ambassadors for the benefit of the sector and the Country in general.
Meanwhile , the three days intensive capacity development training was organized by the Monrovia Business School as plans are in the making to offer more career enhancement training in other key digital space and sectors for the betterment of the Country.
