Community service is led by passion, commitment and dedication and one of such persons who have all of these attributes with focus on making an impact in local Leadership is Roland A. Bandorkai.
A professional journalist, social worker, teacher and administrator with wealth of experience in Sports development and leadership has joined the campaign to elevate his community leadership role to a different dimension.
Already known for his good abilities and qualities in planning , organizing as well as initiating positive ventures geared towards making a difference within the community and beyond , Roland stands tall and well seated and in an advantageous position to work in shaping the community’s activities on a bigger platform.
As the local political excitement heats up ahead of the crucial decision making processes in the community, Roland said he is confident and maintains that he remains the best choice to deliver the necessary goods for the community as evidence of his past works and contributions to the community and beyond.
“With my wealth of experience in local community leadership, church organizations, national organizations, and social-based initiatives, I am uniquely qualified to serve”, he re-emphasized.
Aspirant Bandorkai is a current student at the United Methodist University and a professional journalist.
He also holds a CAF-license coaching certificate including other professional training certificates both in training and practice.
As the Sports Director and teacher at one of Liberia’s premier high schools in District #10, Montserrado County, Smythe Road Community, the (Ford Maiden Christian Academy ) Roland has resided in the community for over twenty years and is deeply rooted in community activities from all sectors.
Under the motto:”Together, we can create a brighter future for our community”, Roland endeavor to run the community leadership under four pillars, namely: Youth Initiatives, Sanitation, Security and Transparency and Accountability respectively.
“My agenda is clear, decisive and achievable “, he said.
Among other things, Roland promise to work along with community leaders in implementing meaningful youth- led Initiatives in order to make an impact.
As for Sanitation, he assure his people to launch a regular month long cleaning up campaign exercise in order to keep the community clean as well as setting up dirt buckets in various community zones and major streets within the community.
He at the same time urged residents of the community to see Sanitation as key to the entire community.
Under security, Roland indicated that he will embark on a major training of young and energetic men and women within the community in order to provide security for all residents.
He said he will ensure other security measures in order to help provide maximum protection for all of the residents.
Moreover, he promise to initiate programs and other activities within the community in order to help create a safe security environment for all.
As for transparency and accountability, he promise to remain open at all times in order to promote good governance practices.
Ahead of the election time, Roland called on all residents to put the interest of the community first and make a wise decision in order to move the community forward.
“Let’s work together, be United and see community development and progress as the bigger picture”, he added.
