President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Saturday June 15, 2024 broke grounds for the construction of the Bethesda Christian Mission School in Kaine Village, Bong Mines Road, Margibi County.
At the ground breaking ceremony, the Liberian leader recounted the many sacrifices Mother Stevens made to Liberia.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony, President Boakai pledged to support the project and to help improve said facility while encouraging others to emulate the good life and work of Mother Stevens.
According to him, his Government is committed to opening the Country for development purposes.
“We will get everywhere to open the Country with good roads, good medical facilities because our people are very important and deserv better”, he added.
The people of this Country, President Boakai stressed deserve quality, whatever we put on should be of quality and we will make sure that Liberians get the best of their Country, he reechoed.
President Boakai told the gathering during the ground breaking ceremony that the people of this Country may not be happy with him for some of the decisions he made but he is not God, However, he is committed to remain sincere about what he says and intends to do for them.
The UP led government he pointed out is just not talking but is working to change Liberia and to make it a good destiny for others.
Speaking further about the honoree , he said Mother Stevens was an educator, an individual who feared God and made impact not only knowledge unto children but education mixed with the word of God in order to make them responsible citizens for the Country.
” She will be honored on July 26, 2024 for her invaluable sacrices to the Country and we will ensure that her legacy lives on”, he maintained.
The Chief Executive stated that when you train the children without God, they can become clever devil, something he wants to be changed for the better.
President Boakai at the same time frowned at some Liberians these days who do not say good about each other but rather choose to praise Foreigners.
Liberians he indicated use the radio to insult each other but are not kind to one another, we need to change that, he reemphasized.
According to him, you can not change people by insulting them.
It is time, the Liberian leader rallied his people to hold together, let’s love one another “, he noted.
“We have everything we need, we have land, resources and the people and we need to make maximun use of it in order to benefit the future generation, President Boakai told the people.
The Liberian leader also urged residents of the community to work together and take ownership of the project intended to benefit them and the larger society.
Meanwhile, President Boakai encouraged Liberians to share life, create and invest in other people for the betterment of the society.
