Nathan Charles is a Multimedia Liberian Journalist residing in the United States of America. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Liberia in 2012 . Previously, Nathan worked for the Liberia Broadcasting System for more than a decade. During that era, he led a team of Broadcasters, helped restored the National Television News back to TV after almost 25-years of dormancy following the civil crisis in Liberia. Mr. Charles has captured several local and international awards from the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) in May 2012 as best Human Rights Reporter in Liberia; in 2013, the Liberia Broadcasting System recognized him as the "Most Outstanding Reporter" at the entity. Nathan was awarded a full scholarship with the Thompson Reuters Foundation in London ,the United Kingdom, where he study multimedia and contemporary journalism . He has benefited from several media training in Japan , China, America, Ghana, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. He also served as mentor for the Canadian Journalism Human Rights project in Liberia for over 2 years. Nathan has freelanced for several international media including the Canadian Broadcasting Cooperation, Public Broadcasting System-USA etc. He’s also freelances shortly for Front Page Africa, Cease Fire online magazine, and the Ministry of Information Liberia. Mr Charles is currently serving as mentor for several people in Liberia, Ghana and America who is desiring to explore in the world of journalism . With passion and desire in positivity exploring, he is currently a certified Insurance Agent and Tax Preparer in the USA and is the Founder of the Nathan Charles Insurance Agency and tax Services. He is also the co-founder of KMTV-USA and co-host of KMTV's Diaspora Talk Program.
