The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 held a significant meeting with Anthony Ohemeng-Boamah, the new United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Representative to Liberia.
The meeting underscored the strong partnership between the Government of Liberia and the UNDP in advancing sustainable development goals and addressing pressing socio-economic challenges.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Nyanti and Mr. Ohemeng-Boamah discussed key areas of cooperation, including poverty reduction, governance, and capacity building.

In response, Mr. Ohemeng-Boamah reiterated the UNDP’s dedication to supporting Liberia’s development efforts and praised the government’s initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development.
He assured Foreign Minister Nyanti of the UNDP’s ongoing support in addressing the country’s development challenges and achieving its strategic objectives.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strengthen collaboration and explore new avenues for partnership, ensuring that the combined efforts of the Government of Liberia and the UNDP continue to contribute to the nation’s progress and prosperity.
