The Secretary General of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change Jefferson Koijee has called for the immediate investigation of the Director of the Executive Protection Service Sam Gaye.
The CDC’s call came less than twenty four hours following a fatal motor accident involving the convey of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai which led to the death of one person while three others have reportedly sustained major injuries.
According to the CDC Secretary General, the cause of the tragic accident is due to alleged insensitivity on the part of the Executive Protection Agency especially its boss to protect the President including the Lives of innocent Citizens.
At the same time, the CDC Secretary General urged all Liberians not to turn out on 26th Day for any celebration ” adding that there is nothing to celebrate rather a time to mourn following the death of an innocent citizen.
“This 26th is a mourning time for all Liberians “, he reemphasized.
The CDC Secretary General Jefferson Koijee also stated that the Party has welcomed the called on by the Liberia National Police of some former officials of government for questioning in connection to the death of former auditor general Barten Nyanswah.
