Grand Capemount County Police Detachment of the Liberia National Police has launched a manhunt for Momodu Senwah for allegedly raping a 12 year old girl.
The 35 year old is a classroom Teacher of an Islamic School in the County.
Explaining her ordeals, the 12 years old Victim alleged that the perpetrator started having affairs (s*x) with her about six months ago.
She told a local Radio station in the county that in December of last year, Momodu asked her to pay him a visit and when she adhered to his request, he allegedly pushed her to the bed and forcefully penetrated.
“That was not the end, he has been forcing me in bed everytime I come from school. He did it in December one time and he has done it about three times this year”.
“He told me not to tell anyone because nothing was going to happen” she narrates.
Kadiatu Fahnbulleh, the mother of the Survivor told the media that she started experiencing some unusual behaviors of the minor and when she started to interrogate her, the impregnated Survivor told her all that had happened.
According to her, they immediately registered the case to the Police and received a note from the Police to conduct a medical checks on the girl.
Mrs. Fahnbulleh said the medical reports later on proved a forceful penetration which resulted to pregnancy.
She has called, on the Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection, the Cape Mount Legislative Caucus, and other human right groups to join her seek justice for her child.
The Police said they are making efforts to firstly apprehend the perpetrator; promising that justice will be served in the matter.
They pray for the help of the public in providing information of the well-about of the Perpetrator if just should be served speedily.
At the same time, the school’s Principal, Imam Musa Kiazolu said since the case was reported, he hasn’t seen or heard from Momodu.
Principal Kaizolu stated that it is not the first time for such case to be reported in the school.
He wants justice to be served which according to him would serve as deterrence for would-be Violators.
